VIDEOCONFERENCING
Students at JFK have a wonderful opportunity to participate in videoonferences, which are virtual field trips that connect our classrooms with sites at other locations. Videoconferencing allows people at different locations to see, hear, and interact with each other. It is a two-way video and two-way audio technology in which cameras are used to send images and sound from the field location to the students and back.
The following are the videoconferences that took place this year:
Grade 1: NASA-The Magnificent Sun
Grade 3: NASA-Humans in Space
Grade 4: NASA-The Solar System and Beyond
The Albany Institute of History and Art (Traders and
Cultures: Colonial America)
Grade 5: NASA-States of Matter
